Welcome to the World of Philip Cox - Creator of Paper People

Rene Magritte attempting the impossible

Philip was a teenager in the early 1960's when he first saw an illustration of Rene Magritte's painting Golconde. The image of smartly dressed men falling from the sky like rain impressed him.

This sculptural portrait of Magritte features objects found in a number of his paintings.
